The purpose of course is strictly to provide information and knowledge. There are no prerequisite knowledge and competencies.
The E-Commerce course, consisting of 4 modules, stresses the need for businesses to add an online store to meet customer preferences. This adjustment to their existing business model is necessitated by the growing use of e-commerce. The impact of Covid-19 has accelerated this trend, which is predicted to continue growing. Additionally, the course provides a review of the options and planning needed when considering the addition of an online store. This is not a technical course, it does not review website hosts or e-commerce platforms or provide recommendations, rather it arms the participant with sufficient information to begin their research to select the host and platform best suited to their needs.
By completing this course the student will understand:
- Demonstrate the growing use of E-commerce
- Explain the benefits and challenges
- Discuss the planning and considerations of adding E-commerce to your business
- Describe the next steps to add an online shopping option to your business
All 4 modules are delivered in a lecture format using videos.
